Is this worth it?
Im looking to get this for my 335i and was wondering if it was worth it, http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/v...i-p-79654.html, or do you think i could get it alot cheaper elsewhere, and im new to jb so is this the best one available? because they have a few different ones on the site. thanks for the help in advance, sorry also this kit, http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/v...i-p-79657.html, im just looking to get the best bang for my buck without getting really cheap stuff. and is the injen dci that much better then the bms dci which i can get for around 100? thanks

....and there are a lot better exhaust prices out there. Read reviews and shop.

No real answer for that based on your caveat. Any serious power i.e. tune will probably void your warranty if found. I'm not sure on the 'best' option since you don't want to void the warranty.
The other mods like exhaust, dci etc, really provide significant gains only if you have a tune in place. 2 types of tunes: 1) piggback and 2) flashes. 1) piggys- you can remove this when needed for major dealership issues, but dealers can suspect you if they notice that the ECU box has been accessed. piggys also have a valet mode. 2) flash- they have a valet mode. Can't be noticed physically unless they check the eprom itself. requires reflashing to stock for any major work. Some tuners have been trying to get a flashloader device to upload/download maps but its not been released to the public yet. The only flash that may give a piece of mind is Dinan. But they have had some disturbing reviews from members who have tried assistance from them. |

If your going with the first option I would deal directly with Mike from N54, personally the DCI (dual cone intake) is of no benefit unless you go over 16psi, so its probably one of the last options you really need. |

The consensus here is to remove these items when you have to bring it back to the dealer... If this is a pain for you to do, you might want to consider the tuners that are only flashes, like GIAC or Active Autowerk's... Some even go to say, you should remove the DCI's and put the stock intake on if you have a need to see the dealer for an engine related issue...

i would get the pnp jb3 and the bt tool to check for codes, the guys at vivid said theyd show me how to remove it and shit so if i needed it could be removed before going in for any work, and im not so much worried about the dci and exhuast becuase the guys here are pretty chill, or i could just look for a bmw certified dealer that is cool with all this. but im thinking that dps will def void the warranty?
