We too CAN Demo - New CAN Tool for ALL tunes!

Wanted to share some videos of the very **SOON** to be released new toy from BMS, the CAN tool. The CAN tool is connected via the OBDII and the car is running map 8 on a 50/50 mix of meth using a normal JB3 2.0 18 ohm board.

Timing is on the fuel gauge scaled from 0-20 degrees. The timing display turns on when boost goes over 3psi.

On the oil temp gauge IAT scaled from 60-160 degrees F. (this isn't 100% set as BMS is not sue they are happy with the scaling and implementation)

This works with any tune. The JB3, a JB+, GIAC, Dinan, etc. (Not the PROceed though due to the locked diagnostic port) Also reads/clears your codes, and your friends codes (not VIN locked like the BT), or can be left on to serve as a downpipe fix. It's a very flexible tool and if you haven't noticed yet we're all pretty excited about it.

This is a completely separate product from the new JB3.

Would it be better to just wait for the new JB3? I have the 2.0 right now.

Great tool mike for lot of enthusiasts out there this will be a nice diagnostic tool as well as code clearer. Even great if you have a stock car to diagnose issues.

I don't like the substitution trickery for existing gauges-- I'd rather have an independent display unit that integrates with the interior (like the P3/Rix boost gauge) that has a CAN interface and toggles functions ranging from boost pressure to IAT to timing advance and OBD codes.

Is this unit providing its own display or does it just override existing gauges?

The only thing I like is the turn signals for the shift lights.

Wait... so does this affect how the car drives at all?

Or is it just an add-on that can be combined with Dinan, JB3, GIAC?

Always wonder Mr.5, since you use GIAC. What do you use for a downpipe fix, to get rid of the light? Or are you not catless?

I could see this being very popular with the flash users. Get a simple boost gauge, downpipe fix and code reader/deleter, with one device.

Good little tool.

It's sort of unrelated. The upcoming JB3 board will have all of this functionality built in. As a JB3 owner this would only really be useful if you;

A) don't have a BT tool
B) want the in dash displays now

This will also be packaged with JB+ and JB3 tuners soon similar to how the BT is packaged today, only at a much more attractive price given this tool does not do everything diagnostically that the BT tool can do. But it covers your basic read/delete codes, autodelete tuner/downpipe codes, etc.

On track days having timing advance on fuel and IAT on the oil pressure gauge might come in really handy! It's a very flexible tool. Plus can read/delete your codes, and function as a downpipe fix as well. I see this is a future must have gadget for flash tune owners.

This one isn't going to be for you then. No interface provided. Basically it just remaps existing gauges and of course its primary role is as a simple code management tool.
