Winter wheels - 2011 E90

I am planning on purchasing a set of winter wheels/tire soon for my yet to arrive 2011 E90 328 xdrive. Does any one have any recommendations for 17x8 hubcentric wheels? I checked tirerack and the only wheels i saw that don't require hubcentric rings are the borbet wheels.

Ok thanks. I wonder if an 17x8 ET30 will fit with no rubbing or issues on my E90 328 xdrive. Its available for the 335 xdrive.

So you have 17x8 ET30 wheels with 225/45/17 tires and there are no issues? Thanks!

I've got 17x8 ET34 with 225/45/17 as winters, and I'm pretty sure the extra 4mm wouldn't cause it to rub, and my car is pretty low too.

Out of curiosity, can the 328 and 335 fit the same dimension wheels? In other words, is there any difference between both cars' suspensions that would enable one car over the other to fit a certain size and offset wheel?

The difference is the brakes. All wheels that fits the 335i will fit over the smaller brakes on the 328i.
But OEM 16" and some aftermarket 17" that fits the 328i won't fit over the larger 335i brakes.

i've run the rial salernos with 15mm spacers in the rear on a pre-lci E90-- no rubbing with 225/45/17 tires. the effective offset is ET15.

this

the smaller brakes on the 328i actually allow for more possible wheels. if it fits the 335 it will fit the 328. the reverse is not true however.

+1

The Salerno does indeed fit 325 and 328 models in 17", but the web site only lists it for the 335i model so you would need to select that model if you decide to get the 17" Salerno online. In past years there was very limited availability on this wheel so the web site didn't list this wheel for other models of cars even though it works well with other E90 cars.

These also accept BMW center caps that we sell for $11 each, or you can re use your original caps. You can have those added to you online order by referring to "gary/addcaps11" towards the end of the online order.
