What where you're favorite trucks?
I know the Lime Truck won an award and Buttermilk Truck was good. Anything else. I couldn't make it, but no regrets since I heard the lines were pretty crazy.

I understand you guys in the rest of the country are behind the times, but these things are all the rage out in Cali.
Now you guys in LA/OC who had no clue about this event... need to get out from under the rock: http://www.ocfoodiefest.com/ Shit sold out before the gates even opened. http://www.ocregister.com/news/food-...ck-people.html If wanting to eat this makes you gay... then I'm gay and didn't know it: http://www.kats9lives.com/2010/08/li...delicious.html The pics here are better than the actual lime truck site. The chef worked at a Charlie Palmer restaurant before the truck. Here are some pic's from the Buttermilk Truck: http://buttermilktruck.com/gallery/gallery-menu-items The owner has an MBA, went to culinary school in NYC, interned at Nobu in NYC, and worked as a pastry chef. This is the truck that started it all: http://kogibbq.com/category/menu/ 8,500 people went and no one on 2 BMW boards went. Amazing.

I had no idea there were food-truck meets. "You learn something new everyday." Well, I'll be damned. Thanks for the heads up, OP! I'll be sure to make it to the next food porn convention! |

I will make it comprehend-able to you. When E9X's were new..they were quite expensive so kids can not afford it. The owners, for the most part, were older in age and more mature. As used E9X's become available, they get cheaper...making them more feasible to younger kids. Now these new owners are not as mature as the former owners. |

I've never eaten at a roach coach before but I saw some show on cable that had a bunch of them competing in a contest. It was actually an interesting watch. Food trucks aren't super prevalent around here to my knowledge. The only ones I've ever seen were the ones catering to hispanic laborers at local warehouses, trucking companies, etc... I'd be up for sampling fare from a food truck....just not the ones I see locally (hence the term of endearement).

Damn, missed this. I've tried a bunch of trucks already. Tried almost all the Korean trucks, Nom Nom, Grilled Cheese, Baby's Badass Burgers, Indian Jones, etc. Need to go to one of these one day.
http://findlafoodtrucks.com/ is a good site to check where they're at. |

Someone will come out with an app where you can search which trucks are around you on your smartphone. They just need to get the trucks to register to some central site.
