New E92 owner

Hi, just picked up my bluewater E92 325ic Highline yesterday from a BMW dealer.

Absolutely love it, over the moon and a credit to the previous owner (Jamese93) who has kept it mint, even though it's only covered 7600miles.

Used to have the M225 wheels on, but as a good will gesture the dealer offered me the M315's which i'm very pleased I chose to go with!

I'm sure i'll be hanging around here a lot more to learn some more as this is my first BMW (My dads had several)

thanks

David.

Like it, Bluewater really suits the E92 and those alloys look great.

Welcome.

Bluewater is a great colour, you don't see many of them. What colour upholstery do you have? Looks like it might be Saddle Brown??

I tried one of the 3 litre 218hp E92's before I got my 330i, and I thought it was a beautifully smooth drive with surprising economy in the mid 30's for a mixture of A roads and motorways.

Blue water! Congratulations! The wheels look perfect.

You picked the best color E92 IMO.

Ordered mine in July and just got it!

Cheers guys, Im still grinning from ear to ear!

James, It goes better than what I expected..very pleased with the performance! especially in sport with the padles, they work well!

Nicko, It has red leather, which I think goes v.well with the blue (surprisingly)

Thanks for the comments, I now think bluewater is the best colour...before I was all for white but the b'water compliments the lines of the car nicely.

Cheers mate,

I was telling my mate the worry's over diamond cut wheels, he's just started working in a BMW dealer (handy) and he reckons there is a guy upstairs from the workshop who's job is dedicated to refurbishing wheels for BMW, so if i ever have a prob I should hopefully be able to sort it no bother, Bonus!

Another vote for the M3 lip rear spoiler, a very cheap addition to the car that really improves the looks.

Told you not to worry :-) Always struck me how smooth it was - feels more powerful than it is if that makes sense! I too loved the paddles though the auto box is great if you're feeling lazy. And not being DSG you don't catch it out either....

Good luck with managing to avoid kerbing the wheels - I managed it was the previous set though god knows how! Have found the info will get it over to you shortly.

Cheers,

J

It cost me about £200 from Menzies BMW in Stirling.

Yea it's very smooth, 4th gear feels good in sport and engine sounds good once the revs are up. Oil temp guage is handy too, most people assume when water temp is up the oil will be too, not so!

I'm sh!t scared about damaging the wheels but the inevitable will happen one day I suppose, just got to do my best to prevent it, car will only be used at nights and weekends as I have a runabout to get to work and back so should hopefully help keep it mint.

Ah did you find it, cool! That would be good mate thanks

Scott - how does it attach? I assume just a sticky strip? did it come painted?

The lip spoiler does not come painted, I am sure your dealer or another body shop can sort that. Many guys on here have used a replica from a reputable source which come painted for around £100 and are happy with them. I thought long and hard and then put the extra money into the genuine item just to be sure it was perfect.

Yes they just bond on with VERY sticky tape.

Smile Rear Spoiler

I can vouch for Menzies BMW in Stirling. Duncan the workshop manager is first rate. He has done a number of mods for me. Rear spoiler, Strut brace, Air intake and last week a BMW performance wheel. I have no complaints with any of the work.
