Roof & Truck Spoiler Install

New guy here!
My spoilers just came in the mail today
Reading over this DIY; http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1914
I would need to use 3M BetaLink adhesive?
My spoiler kit didn't come with it...no biggie since it could be purchased at the auto parts store!
My question; couldn't I just use the double sided red tape that comes with the spolier? Or just add more tape?
Sorry if I'm or posted in the wrong place!
To the guys/gals that have spoiler...what did you do? Thanks!

Garage List
2009 BMW  [9.24]
The double-sided red tape that it came with should be the 3M tape
The spoiler will work perfectly fine with just this tape as it is extremely strong
If your spoiler came with extra adhesive that looks like glue, DO NOT USE IT
It is extremely hard to get off if you ever want to remove the spoiler
Trust me, I know from experience

Yeah, Just mounted mine with the two strips of 3-m red automotive adhesive tape and it's rock solid! Ever try to remove the number badges? Those have just a small amount of this adhesive tape and are a bugger to remove. Imagine the amount of adhesion in those two strips the length of the spoiler! That's not going anywhere until you want to remove it...

Yep the red 3M tape is plenty strong. I use about a 1/2" strip all the way across, kept pressure on it for a few minutes. Then I let it sit in the sun for a few hours and the put a few more minutes of pressure on it and I've had no problems at all!

Hope you enjoy the spoilers!
