Ordered 335i in Maryland on Dec 1st :rocks: ,
driving on Jan 8th . Got Prod Order number within 2 days, car built by day 9, rest of time traveling from Germany, to England, and arriving in NJ. I guess I'm incredibly impatient because I was emailing the CA the day after I placed the order. BUT, the CA was able to take one of their cars already in the pipeline and make it mine. Your dealer may not have had (or already sold all the) cars in his pipeline. |

I ordered my E92 on December 7, and like the OP, I still have no production date. I assume it has to do with the shutdown around the holidays, as well as the high demand.
I'm certainly jealous of dhimilosr, who ordered 6 days earlier and already has his car! |

Got production number the same night as the order was put in. It's been 2 and a half week since the dealership put my order in, and the car is already built, waiting for a ship to come to Cali.

If you purchased a 335 Coupe expect I'll be waiting with you, Latest info I got was I should have a production number in 2-3 weeks when my dealer gets more allocations.

I ordered at end of Nov and didn't get a production date until a week or so ago. That's what sux about So Cal. Takes forever. At least it takes only a week or so after it is scheduled for production. Now just the 8 week wait to get to Cali......

i dont understand how everyones waiting months after they get production numbers AFAIK the dealer only gets production numbers at most a month ahead of when they go into production, the dealer here said they would get more production numbers in febuary for april delivery and the dealer i bought from had a production number available right away for delievery in march

teknochild, thats not entirely true, production number is like build slot numbers. Having one in the system doesn't mean the car is ready to be built. It can be months before the slot is picked from the pool for production for certain models.

it comes down to allocation of cars accross dealerships and their priority lists and timing of orders.....and the timing to get it on ships and vessels that are headed in some way and getting those schedules right.....

dont you hate florida and all the straight flat roads? anyone want to post their production numbers, i actually kind of want to compare the numbers, especially those who have been waiting on a date for months, im still thinking maybe some dealers get numbers way in advance
