BMW Performance Exhaust

How many of you recommend the BMW Performance Exhaust? I heard the AE and IMO does not sound as good plus it's not covered by the BMW warranty.
How much louder would the BMW PE get with aftermarket downpipes installed?

I love mine, wouldnt trade it or get rid of it ever. As for the DP sound...no idea, quite frankly, I think Ill pay the extra to get catted DP's when I go that route because the cats will help keep the sound closer to what it sounds like now.

Put the oem performance exhaust on my e90 Friday as an upgrade replacement for the magnaflows I had. All I can say is great stuff about it! No drone whatsoever. I can drive on the highway at 65 all day and barely hear it but the slightest press of the throttle and its there. It seems to me the sound level is proportional to the throttle. At WOT, this thing is screaming and sounds so perfect for a high performance european car...
Can you tell I like it so far?

at the moment i just have the BMW PE, but i think i buy some cattless DP's soon...

Wheels mean nothing...you're driving your car inside most of the time.

Exhaust is worth way more than wheels...you hear it ALL the time.

that's true. but if you want an loud "look at me" exhaust, they normally drone.
but the sound of the E Race is still the best out there!
