Advice needed to buy a BMW in minneapolis
Hey People,
This is a request to all the BMW owners near or in Minneapolis area. I am looking to buy a 328i as soon as possible. The ideal combination i.e. the one I would like is Black on Black with less than 45k miles on it. How much can I get it for? should I go for pre certified? please advise. Thanks, Taran |

Well, if you want to drive to Milwaukee, I will state that I bought my car at Concours where Tommy g is from and my transaction was smooth sailing....and I didn't even have Tommy as a hook up then.

Hello and welcome,
Personally, if I was looking at any car that was over 2 yrs old or had more than 25k miles I would want it to be CPO'd. I think it's worth it for that extra piece of mind. Problem is that you are looking for a 328i. Pretty much everything the dealers have in stock up here is AWD, so your choice of colors and options would be pretty limited. Having said that, from what I've seen of local prices in the Twin Cities area, RWD cars do seem to go for a little less due to the perception that AWD is required in this climate. (I would counter that RWD with good winter tires is more than adequate). Obviously if you are willing to travel outside of MN, there would be alot more choice. Also, if you decided that you didn't want a CPO'd car, there are quite a few independent dealers in the Cities that specialize in European cars. |
