Since you've been told that intake wont do much and BOV isint recommended and still insist on those 2 then i'd probably say:
Wait for Gruppe M to come up with some kind of intake BOV is all up to preference. Some people love the sound of the HKS, others like Tial or Greddy. I dont think any production exhaust is available yet for the 335. But wait and see what Super sprint or Eisenmann has to offer. Check out the thread on Arqrays exhaust too. Seems promising. |

what possible reasoning could you have for wanting an intake that wont do you any good? a BOV i can understand, it makes a cool little sound, but its not recommended for these cars as of now.
If i were a smart man (which i am not), i would tell you to pick up a set of KWs, do the Xede software when its ready to be bought off the shelf (which is soon from what ive been reading), and pick up a set of nice wheels and tires. Then, if youre still itching to mod, which we all know you will be, pick up a set of brembos and a nice little exhaust setup. Have some patience though, wait a little longer to pull the trigger. Just a little more time will help you make a better decision. |

thats y im waiting to get my e92 335i (although its painful to wait ill enjoy my 325 for a lil longer...) so when i buy it (335), all the mods will be available for it and since i read the forums daily, ill know which brands are best for each mod then i can buy them all at once and not have to experiment with diff. brands theres no way i would have the patience to have a 335 like u guys have right now and wait for the best of mods, lol props to u bro's.:rocks: |

The 335i runs a small fmic. If you are planning to do a few mods it might be in your best interest to get a bigger fmic. I dont know of anyone who makes an upgraded fmic as of yet.

By "headers" i'm hoping that you meant exhaust manifolds, but if you were going to replace those then you might as well do a turbo upgrade because that is a huge PITA to swap out, and i'm not sure what advantage you would have with replacing the exhaust manifolds and keeping the stock turbo's. Even with an equal-length manifold, which none have been developed, I can't really imagine any quicker spool times... I just don't think its worth it, but a turbo upgrade would be a different story.

With this low level of boost and small turbos, there is the possibility of pressure drop across a larger intercooler. Yes, you get better efficiency, but the turbos have to spin at higher RPM to generate the same pressure (lower resistance). THis higher rpm results in higher heat production, and a wash in end result (more, cooler air). We ran into this probolem with the small, stock turbos on 1.8T VW.

It is freakin huge! Its bigger than the front of most cars. Thats my brothers truck, turbo diesel. Scary thing is that its already faster than my M3. Near 500 rwhp and 900 lb ft torque at the rear wheels with the old set up. Just blew a head gasket, so he is o-ringing the heads, adding a new intercooler and new turbonetics turbo in the process. Boost should be around 55-60 psi shooting for over 500 rwhp and 1000 lb ft tq
