had this for an hour today bmw's demo car a brand new 335i manual loaded with performance parts, £15000 worth to be precise, the seats are superb as is the suspension but that exhaust is absolutely fantastic especialy up the road to my house which is sunken between two banks. total cost of car is £53000! my thanks to Arden in maidstone for the drive.

Nah, sorry. What a complete waste of money. Looks like a pimped up Halfords Ford Escort from the 80s. White, side stickers, black spoiler (always looks like couldn't be bothered to get it painted), black mirrors, front lip, lowered (I assume). Just needs some furry dice now and the look would be complete! Oh and it doesn't go any faster than a standard 335i - it's probably slower with all that clobber on it! Wouldn't you just buy an M3?
AND I still don't get the whole black grill thing. Looks like a "lesser" BMW with it. Sorry! Think the new 313M wheels are nicer too... Last edited by G82Dude; 09-15-2010 at 06:39 AM.. |

All UK BMW dealers are now targetted on accessory sales, so expect to see a few 'modified' ex-demo cars for sale on the AUC site shortly.
Even management cars are being fitted with spoilers, etc.. My mate even had to have mud flaps fitted to his new 5 series touring management car lol |

I think it looks amazing. But for the money I'd be sitting pretty in an M3 thank you very much. I'd buy it used though at a heft discount.

It's quite interesting really. Some posts poo-poo some of the attempts to mod cars, yet spending £15,000 of parts seems acceptable? Or is it just because they come out of the BMW accessories book? But I guess that's just my opinion. I don't like it, and think it's a waste of money! PS I like my car as it is! ![]() Last edited by G82Dude; 09-15-2010 at 12:13 PM.. |

to be fair with the exhaust the seats and the suspension its a hell of a drive it
feels just right, that exhaust! i could have driven around in it all day but there wasnt much fuel in it!! i wouldnt paint the spoilers as they contrast well with the white paintwork and the quality is top hole would be a shame to cover them up. |

The stripes suit 1er's and also E90's but not E92's.

They should offer these parts as options when the car is ordered- for example if you want the performance alloys then you would have to pay extra over the standard alloys, same for exhaust etc...............not have to pay for a set of alloys that come with the car and then buy the performance alloys as well ......and then pay for fitting etc when it could have been done when your car was getting built. Factory order would make it much more affordable and i'm sure BMW would sell a lot of these parts this way - who is honestly going to spend £15000 on parts that make there 3 series look a bit sportier ?????
