PROcede V4 powered car does 12's at high alititude.

Went to test and tune at Bandimer Speedway tonight with a couple friends to test out some new settings. My car is a 2007 335i coupe with stage 3 mods and 104 octane. Thanks to Shiv's help, I was able to muster up a good run. DA was around 8200. After a couple highway pulls I was able to look at the auto-tune and it was at 18 psi with 0% IC. I think I might have to 1/4 record for high altitude. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Here is my slip, I am in car 368: sorry for the cell phone pic and no resizing. Oh, I forgot to mention that this was on street tires.

Congratulations!

What settings did you wind up using? That's some insane altitude!

Thanks! Map 2. Settings were 20 psi max. Initial boost was set at 75% and IC 0%. The altitude up here sucks.

I know you M, you will take it right back away from me. I'm gonna enjoy my glory while it last. Remember what happened last time? You beat me the very next run.

Excellent run brother man. No way I'm making up 4/10ths. The glory is all yours, Sunday you'll lower it further with DRs and some 110.

I am not sure if I am reading this correct. Is the track 9000ft above sea level or is that the amount calculators work out? How high is the track?

Bandimere is at an actual elevation of 5680 feet. Very quickly, depending on heat and dew point, the track can calculate to 8000 feet plus. OP stated that was a density altitude in the first post.

Thanks for that. I run at 5800ft. On a 25 degree celsius day with 45% humidity I have run a 12.37@114mph. So with a set of drag radials and some meth you will be hitting that kind of time.
Shifting early is the key as at this altitude the turbo really run out of steam earlier in the rev range and there is major heat build up cause you trying to overcome a 2.5psi drop of existing barometric pressure.

I was there and witnessed this pass. Considering he was on ALL SEASON tires, I am really impressed. 111mph up here is very, very fast. For reference, a built head/cam/etc/ C6 Z06 trapped 120-121. Car dynod over 600whp at LG Motorsports.... Was built by them as well.

Also, the DA was 8560 feet not 8200. I checked it........

V, congrats on the pass, very very impressive! And we still have a few tricks up the old sleeve to get him deep into the 12s!!
