AMBER SUX!!! - The curse of the yellow
So I have ordered ALL xenon bulbs for my car and the ONLY one left that is the UGLY AMBER is the LED above the turnsignal bulb. I have called bmw parts, service, and corporate; they all tell me that if you want to replace that you have to replace the housing. Well F that!! If you can get into a e90 housing with a heat gun you can with the e92 as well!!!
Has anyone got in there to see what size bulb that is? If not I may be the 1st one to try it... Here is a pic of the bult sent to me by another member:

It's gonna be a lot of work, i'm guessing u'll have to bake the headlight housing to opening it, then use a solder to remove the led and put a white one in its place. I might might have to contact bmw to find out exactly what type of LED it is.
Also, can i ask what bulb you've replace the front turn signals (PY24W) with? |

As an alternative, have you thought about just cutting the power to that LED? I havn't been keeping up with the E92 lighting setup, but what's the purpose of that light? If it's not the turn signal, and you don't need it, probably a lot easier to get rid of the power to that. Might also be a jumper just for that light in the fuse box.
