Insurance on my 330d will be up for renewal in a couple of months, and I've just had a quick look on confused.com to see how much I can look forward to saving and the best quote is over £1200
![]() Currently paying £800 (insured at aged 29, car in Leeds.. I was paying £350 until I relocated from Bristol to Leeds - who says the North is cheaper to live?!!) That includes business mileage, 5 years NCB and 6k per annum total mileage limit. I'm going to need to protect the NCB from now really, and up the mileage limit to 10k. Anyone suggest anywhere other than confused.com?!

Thanks guys, Elephant £1650 and Aviva £1350. Not really what I hoped for!
I've been reading a lot about insurance premiums having rocketed in the last couple of months, and it seems it is the case! I'm going to keep trying places, but looks like I'm facing a 50% increase despite no claims, accidents etc ![]()

LV, good for me. £550 on the 335d but cat A p/c which helps
Read the small print. Cheapest / quite a lot of companies use 3rd party parts and unqualified indies based on my interpretation. |

I feel your pain man, insurance these days is just crazy, I think I will look to be paying about £2,400 for a 335i m sport. I know if I lives about 15 mins down the road that would go down by about £800.

Bell seemed to be the cheapest for me, and very easy to deal with.

Admiral blew away my current insurer Kwik Fit when I added a second car on a two car policy. I'm now £301 with no excess.
Don't know if this is an option for you??

Might be worth trying to include another female driver as a "named" driver on your policy - say your mother/sister/aunt...anyone!
Reading what others have said on this forum, I added the wife (she has her own car and insurance) to my daughters policy with Norwich Union. It dropped her Corsa from £640 to £520. We did it on-line to start with just to test out which companies work in this way. It's a couple of hours work but we saved £120. |

Direct Line were the cheapest for me by a fair chunk on my E90. With a higher premium the discounts for having another car (wife's) and the house insured with them really rack up. Had to claim twice (both times on the wife's car) and they have been really fantastic both times.
Admiral blew away everyone on my E46 M3. £800 for a 30 y/o with no bonus (used on other policy) |
