Exhaust tips Mod?

Hi guys,

I have been busy changing some things on my 2005 E91, so far got the Blacklines and the M Aerokit is on order and on its way.
I love my car but the last final bit i wish i could change is the standard "4 cylinder" exhaust.... i wish i had the dual pipe " 6-cyl" exhaust but does anyone know if there is a kit out there to mod mine?

I have read about the Eisenmann etc etc but that is a bigger job....

I have the Dieselfilter installed, I did get a Chrome end piece of ebay on it which makes it look nicer but the dual pipe goes better with the M Aero kit imho.

To be honest.... it is a shame that the 325d didn't come out earlier which has the dual pipe and the chrome around the window, the 330d was bit too expensive back than.

Any tips?

cut it and weld a dual tip on there?

i guess you would have to get a new muffler if you didn want to modify you current one...there are many vendors on the board offering dual tip'd mufflers

Hmmm thanks...well i just don't find it worth replacing the complete exhaust but i do want it to look like a 6-cyl model.

Any recommendations on vendors?

Thanx

Ah ok, good tip, thanks!

I wasn't aware that this one was available yet.

Afterall , i really should have waited a year for the 325d... would have saved me quite a bit of money on the chrome around the window option that i have got, the alloys , the twin exhaust..... and in the end ... a 6-cyl!
But my dealer was convinced back than that a 2.5d wasn't gonna come... (but than again, this was when the car wasn't even introduced in July 2005, when i ordered mine of paper.... )

Has anyone got a partnumber please on which muffler i am supposed to look for or has anyone got it installed?
Does it adjust the sound too? The only problem maybe... i have got the partikelfilter on my diesel...??

Thanks

hi, don't know about sound, wouldn't expect it to sound too different. but it looks much better
Hartge part# 18 91 0220 E for 320d E91, cost was around 350 euros incl. fitting.

Thanks for the reply and info.... will go searching for it...

I also noticed in the UK mag, BMW CAR MAGAZINE that Remus is also offering a twin pipe mod for the E90/91 exhaust whereby you can choose for "sport / racing / standard" sound.... whatever that may result in....
