i use zaino and do amazing jobs all by hand w/100% diaper clother, do you neeed to use special sponge too, or arethe regulaer sponges safe, since they are pretty much lubricated when using them?

Personally I don't use sponges for any part of the cleaning process. They trap too much grit between the sponge and the paint and then drag it all over scratching stuff. I also don't use a cloth on it untill it's already been cleaned and is ready to dry. I stick with wool wash mitts and a brush for the wheels.

yeah, wool mitt is both better and reusable.
It'll wear out with time, but they're under $10, and one will easily last a year. Well worth it.
