Springs and Spacers... Help please
So I have a 2009 E92 with 19" 230's. I'm about to put the H&R Sport Springs on and have been reading a lot about spacers. From what I've read, i will not have ANY rub issues with this set up. But if i put on spacers I will rub in the front. Can anyone answer any of the following questions?
Seems the H&R Springs are the most popular. What other brands are out there? what factors go into deciding which brand to choose? I do not plan on racing this car at all, should I avoid all coilover thoughts? If i add spacers do I gain anything other than a wider stance? I heard the 10mm front spacers will rub and the 5mm spacers have issues with cracks. Will the 8mm spacers rub? Finally, Can anyone provide photos of a car with and without spacers? thank you! |

Spacers alone will not make you rub
Whether or not you rub depends on your wheel width and wheel offsets...we would need to know this information to help...or just let us know if you have stock wheels H&R and Eibach are the most popular springs...there are also others like Tein and RD |

You'll have plenty of room for spacers
You could easily run a 10 mm spacer in the rear You could probably do 5-10mm in the front as well with no rubbing |

You can search for sizes that have worked in the past with those wheels however I always recommend measuring on your car to be absolutely sure. Here is a video to help:
