BSH OCC still empty??
i've had my BSH OCC installed since the beginning of last month and today before taking my car out i checked the dipstick on the can and it was dry, i then stuck a long wire tie in there and it was dry. then i took a flashlight and looked inside and it was completely dry.
how long before your BSH OCC collected oil? also within the time that i've had my BSH OCC installed i didn't drive my car everyday, maybe 4-5 30 mile trips and the rest where cruises around town. before the BSH i had a RR OCC installed and i didn't empty that or even check the can for months after i installed it before emptying it out and when i did it only drained 1-2 ounces of oil. |

Maybe you just don't drive aggressively enough?

Mine is not picking up anything either and I've had it for 2-3 months now. Did some long cruises too but mostly city driving...

An oil catch can is useless.

FWIW, mine started catching oil almost immediately. Got a bit on the dipstick, even though there isn't a ton in the can.

Hey, maybe you should check your charge pipe to see if its coated with oil at all. I would normally say intercooler, but thats probably not as easy to do. Atleast if the charge pipe is dry, you know its not getting sucked back into the intake.

Mine has oil in it, 2 months installed..check a few weeks ago and the bottom was wet with oil...working as designed!
Weird through...maybe check the install again to make sure it is all hooked up correctly and holes open?

I'm curious about this subject. How about checking the OCC hoses... if there's oil on the "in" side and none on the "out" then it's working, but you just have very minimal oil. If there's oil in the "out" hose then your can isn't catching. I have the BSH also (2 months) with no noticable oil in the can.
I believe oil vapor only gets routed to the intake during boost and non-boost directly to the manifold, which cannot be controlled. since most conditions are non-boost I take it the valves will continue to be coated... depending on your separator performance. I had mine off recently, but failed to check my hoses. |

That'll be the next thing I was thinking as well! I will try to check on the "out" hose this weekend.

How long have you had it installed and how are your driving habits?

As of October, my GF started driving the car every day to work. 3 miles or 20 minutes in stop-and-go traffic, every day. She drives carefully. I noticed the oil collecting last week.
