Just got my PC today... question!!!

I just got my PC from another member (great transaction... super fast shipping) and I have a question. After I got it and pulled it out of the box I plugged it in and turned it on just to make sure it wasn't damaged during shipping. I was a little shocked at the noise it makes... a loud "clicking" sound. Is this normal? The unit looked great... no visible damage, but the "clicking" sound surprised me. I had zero pressure on the pad, so I'm not sure if that would make a difference or not.

Thanks in advance! Can't wait to use it!

It's normal - you shouldn't run it without pressure on the pad, but it won't hurt it since you just did it to check. The PC is a loud little sucker, but you get used to it.

Yeah, you get used to the sound and learn to pay no attention to it. Now, if that sound gets louder while polishing, and you see sparks, then you've got an issue.

Oh jeez! I don't even want to think about that! I think I'll use it to sand some stuff first (I got the 7336SP) to get used to it!
