Fuuck after a year of going out with my gf she told me doesnt wanna be with me anymore and her reasoning was that we are more like friends now and shit isnt the same as it was in the begining. I'm only 18 but still she was my first real girlfriend...i feel like shit coz I'm not gonna be the one to make the first call if thats how she feels then I'm not gonna beg her not to. But damn I am really hurt, I am attacthed to this girl. Do any of you guys hae advice for me? And are/were you attacthed to your first real gf?

If you truly still want her to be w/you, i'd say you give it a shot n talk to her about it, and see where it gets you. Never hurts to try, and don't let your pride get in the way.

I'm always amazed by people who date the same person throughout highschool and college. There are so many people out there; plus at that age you don't know what you do or do not want in life.
Don't get tied up in a serious relationship at this point - it may sound selfish, but focus on yourself. between about 17-25 you go through so many changes/phases... attending college, graduating college, finding your first job, etc. You'll find your priorities are going to change a ton.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who can say that before I was 22, my longest relationship was maybe 3 months at max.

I just have one thing to say to you my friend... you are WAYYYYY to young!! Hell eff it, I am still too young (22)... There are so many girls out there, and even if you were with this girl for so long, you still don't know what you want... All you know is what she has and nothing about what other girls have to offer.

Dude, in all seriousness go build up your resume... Get laid like 10 times by 10 diffrent girls, then come back here and post a DIY on how to find the right one. Even mathematically speaking, just by using standard probability... The more girls you get to know, the higher the chances are that you'll find another one.

It's going to be fine. It may seem like the world is ending, but it just takes time. Everyone has one girlfriend that they got really attached too and lost. Just the way life goes. However, like everyone has said, you are really young. Stay busy, and don't dwell on it and good things will happen when you least expect.

Agreed, the first one is probably the worst to get over, but once you do and move on, it'll be that much better. Like what others say, you're still very young, and there's plenty of other girls out there. Not to be a pessimist, but most HS couples break up when they get into college, because that's when they discover themselves, and realize what they really want in life.

My advice is to try to get your mind off her. But regardless of what you do, don't go begging back to her and try to swoon her to get back with you. That'll only make you seem desperate and she'll be even more turned off from you. If you give her her time, she might come around and realize how much she misses your friendship/companionship. Good luck man!

And most college couples break up after college My college girlfriend (of almost 5 years) and I broke up while we were in grad school. I'd say that for many people, you don't know what you are looking for in a partner until your mid to late 20s.
