Question First LIMP MODE..

Got my first LIMP MODE this morning while driving to work. Occurred when i downshifted from 6 to 4 and rev passed 5000 rpms. Got the half engine light and no boost. i was still able to cruise 80 mph but was hard keeping it there.

After i shut off the car and turned it back on, the half engine light went away. i tried to reproduce the trigger but have not gotten another limp...

Car is basically stock right now, except mufflers. i was waiting for my warranty to end before i put on any of my mods. Car currently has 41000 miles. no long cranks really...usually only takes a few seconds to turn over...so i dont think its the HPFP.

Anybody know what can be wrong? i just ordered a BT Tool today so i don't have any codes to give details on.

Well these cars shouldnt take more then a 1/2 second to start.

So it very well could be HPFP, however, it sounds like its under warranty maybe still? Bring it in?

The newer software seems to take longer to fire up, 1-3 seconds. Could be a boost leak, misfire, as well as the HPFP. Get it check out. I was at the track this weekend and got a limp, turned out to be a Cylinder Switch Off fault.

36.xx + I think I'm on the latest one now (37.xx) needless to say, they have been longer for the last few updates over a 6 month span.
