Of course you would never use your fog lights except for safety reasons on those very rare times of daytime & severely reduced visability??

And thus you would only use them at times when noone could actually see you, so there is no need to upgrade them!!

That always puzzles me too - doesn't bluer light glare back more in fog than yellower light? I'm pretty sure that's the reason lots of cars back in the 90s came with proper yellow fogs rather than white. Presumably, then, sticking blue-white xenon bulbs in the fogs makes them less useful?

Front fogs are an absolute pet hate of mine and people who drive with them on in dusk in lieu of or as well as dipped beam should be shot.

Why do people do that? Do they think it somehow makes their car look like a McLaren F1 or something?

I'm not suggesting the OP does this but I'd be interested to know why anyone would want to "upgrade" them in the first place.

The OE fogs do look a bit grim compared to the xenon main lights, but as they are NEVER on it doesn't matter!!

I did put them on once over the top of the M62 on a foggy afternoon, but as soon as I came up behind another car they went straight off again, rears the same.

Never been on since AFAIK.
