Gruppe M / Simota intake
How many of us actually have one of GruppeM/Simota intake setup?
I know they look good, they sound good but how exactly does it help your driving? Recent posting from kenken seems to suggested a substantial increase in consumption Initially (before the computer adapt to the hardware change). so who should get it? it only helps on high revs? (5k-7k?) |

I've read great reviews on the Simota intake. Some even go as far as to say that it out performs the Gruppe M at a fraction of the cost. Know of any shops which stocks this in HK? I couldn't seem to find a distributor on the Simota website.

Grup M is too pricy nowadays due to appreciation of Yen, and the benefit is not that obverous as you loss significant amount of low end touque and then get back at high rev........say after 3,000 rev
I prefer to get the BMW performance air intake if you think you really need a intake...... |

I have the Simota for the 335i..I bought it from some guys in Taiwan who shipped it to me in NY..its a good intake IMO..much better than stock ofcourse..and I like that its a closed lid for cooler temps
The Gruppe M is esentially the same thing and uses a K&N airfilter..sells for $2K - USD ..no thx..I paid a fraction for the Simota |
