is it just me or does it look like BMW was an after thought at their own show .
i never went so im just going by the pics, but it looks like most of the BMWs were in some back parking lot and not being showcased, kinda like an after thought.

either way great pics

BMW's out numbered the exotics probably by 10 times. So the parking lot was the best place for them because we could all be together and not randomly scattered around. But I didn't like the fact that there were no real "showcasing" going on in the parking lot tho (no tents, sponsors etc.).

But it was cool... Maybe next year

It kinda did feel like that, but to be honest its easy to understand why the ferraris and lambos lined the streets of the show and our bimmers chilled in the back lot

Thank you, but the only reason I missed that lot, was after I ate, and relaxed, and wanted to move to lot, I go in there, and people left..
seemed like Impatient people to me.. I walked 3 floors, and nothing for me
to see, got tight about that..

Vin, anytime man, I find it very funny how some guys were new to it,
when I been seeing staples, patches, and bandaids in VW/Audi scenes,
that being said, I thought it was cool, really, I think everytime you car gets
hit or damaged, you shouldnt kill yourself and stress it, but embrace it
and enjoy it till its done.. looking at damage hurts more than entertainment..
side note, I thought the lot was fine, and needed a few things,
If the parking layout was diff, and Fluorescent lights opposed to halogen,
it wouldve been banging, I hated the lighting as soon as I walked in,
and the parking layout was too cluttered..

I think if the show space stayed the same, but filled with more cars,
it wouldve looked stupid, like a giant gtg, purpose of show, imo is about
presentation too, which this show clearly had it, Ill tell you this, outside
where the bimmers were parked, entrance to show, looked cluttered too,
only way to have it really good, is to get even 4 more times the space,
and park each car, 2-3 cars distance apart, than you have a dope layout,
all cars, good show, but why, when some of these guys come in, stay for 30 min, and leave..

yea but i dont get that at all, its called bimmerstock right?
i dont see y they get the good seats? from what i have been hearing thats y alot of bmw owners just came and left.

its all good if you want to call it EXOSTOCK and then open it up to other cars but like i said i dont get it.

my brother and i where going to go but when we saw the pics of last years fest we both said will pass, and for the record my brother has an M6, ZO6 and a LAMBO.
he said (if i wanted to see EXOs i can just goto the OBI on sun mornings at 7:30) they have all thos cars and alot more.
but he like i where hoping to see some old BMWs and some modern classics and dare i say M1 .

its one thing to invite other cars and share the stage, but its another to let them come and steal the show.

well to be fair, I think the "Gold Coast Concourse" was initally planned separately as an exotics event, and was done last year as well by MAC, and the bimmer portion was planned side by side with the other show. Also the bimmer lot wasn't as bad as it might seem. I had a lot of fun talking to all the various bimmer owners there and socializing while at the exotics portion, it felt like an auto show and not a meet

That's it exactly. It was two seperate shows- Gold Coast Concours and Bimmerstock, as we stated since the get go. Together we donated over $18,500 for Diabetes Research and had an amazing day with amazing cars.

I really dont think one overshadowed the other at all either- there were well over 500+ BMWs there that day so we did the best we could with the space we had.

I was excited to have insane bimmers like E30 M3s and hyperexotics like the Enzo Ferrari at the same show, it was awesome to me. It's funny, I haven't heard one thing from the exotic owners compaining about all the Bimmers there!

All in all, I think everyone had a great time, and we (and especially the Diabetes Research Institute) can't thank all the antendees enough!

Sorry to highjack point n shoots amazing pic thread! Lets get back to my man's skill set... it's insane!
