NY License Plate Dilemma

How can I avoid getting these crappy yellow plates? I can't transfer my old plates to new car. Is my only option is to get vanity plates?

Please advise...

Pay more and get custom plates. (sport plates, organization plates, etc.)

I think I might be going the CCA plate route too. Was going to go NY Yankees, but those Mutts fan might do something crazy =X

I have Yankee plates and no MOFO met fans have messed with my ride...They have to be really stupid though to try something...But yeah man those new plates are hideous!

Why can't you transfer your plates? Stupid question I know, but I've transferred my NY plates from my '03 Honda Accord Coupe, to a '07 Sedan, to the '08 335xi and now to my '11 X5... Same plates, 4 different cars...

Maybe if you drive the vert more and not the mazda

Not that I wish something happen to your car, but you dont drive enough =P. Forget about the Mutts fan, RSaux are more dangerous.
