torch vs iphone4

ive been a bberry junky for a while. i might make the switch. im worried about the torch freezing? have they worked out the kinks with the OS for bberry?! i can get used to the touch screen just like i got used to my first qwerty key pad...

just wanted to get a general idea from the forum...thoughts?!

Why vs the iPhone? Is that the phone you want? The iPhone is no longer the phone to compare to.

I myself have never owned a touch screen phone either. I say try them both out and see where you go from there.

the iphone4 seems to compete with most smart phones. Evo and droid are nice too but im with ATT. i like ATT. switching service isnt as easy for me because im on a group plan with my business and i want to keep it like that. ATT service might suck in certain parts of the country but for me in philly, jersey it seems to work fine.

my options are limited.

touch screen is something to get used to. when i had my pearl wayyyy back and i switched to qwerty i was like ummm wtf. so i figure either phone i switch to will need some sort of learning curve applied. im not really an 'app' kinda guy but i havnt had an OS to which the apps were easily navigated. the curve and old bberry OS is a pain in the ass to load apps. all the new smartphones seem more user friendly?! i dunno lol

I just made the switch from the BBerry t the iPhone4g, you won't regret the switch, the thing is wayyy faster than any BBerry and adapting to the touch screen was easy.

My last Blackberry was the Curve 2. I switched to the iphone 3gs after that. Now I have the iphone 4. Doubt I would go back to Blackberry. The iphone just suits me better.

Iphone 4 is amazing.

Iphone 3GS specs:

Iphone 4 specs:

The processor is almost 2x faster, has double the RAM, has High Definition recording, 5MP camera with flash, retina HD display, 40% more battery life, etc etc etc.

iphone 4 does look sick...im not a corporate guy who receives and sends emails all day to boss,manager,coworker,clients....however i do txt nonstop. I think i would tend to appreciate the 'app' world more and more each day. out of 250k apps for iphone im sure there will be several that i would learn to love. Apps for the bberry suck. Bberry 5.0 is a shitty OS in my mind. 6.0 is much better but i think bberry torch needs to be a lab rat for them to work out the kinks. nothing frustrates me more then my my phone locks up.

if you are bored and want to check future concept phones check this link

so far i love my torch, i had the return the first one due some technical issues.
as for specs the iphone4 runs at 800 not the 1ghz (this is all over the net). the screen and camera are far superior. i love apple and their products but this is a decision for you to make and not what the people on the interwebs tell you. it is impossible to know how a phone will work out for you by asking us and not trying it. I can tell you i played with the torch in the store and was unimpressed however you needed to remember the people who played with it before you prob did not close the applications as you should and are still running in the back slowing it down. the OS that is shipped with the device is also crap. There are a few leaked versions of newer one and i can tell you it make a night and day difference and its a simple upgrade process.
The phone is much quicker then anyone who doesn't own the phone or used it for 2 minutes in the store will tell you. I like the option of my keyboard

i have the ipod touch for my apps and that experience. dont forget about bbm and the damn addicting red status light!

you have 30 days to try the phones and return them, it will be the only way.

I went from 4 generations of blackberries for work and switched over to the iphone4. Let's just say I'm not switching back.

I tried out the iphone 4 for a few weeks, it was nice. Compared to the torch right now, it is better and has all the options you will need. The torch is to buggy atm...

You could always check out the Samsung galaxy s line. Very fast, uses android software which I prefer. Only bad thing is it feels a bit cheap...or you could just say light weight.

I recently got a iPhone 4 and I think it's great. Very decent camera and LED flash, with HDR mode. Beautiful high-resolution screen! Lots of free apps and paid apps. Not to mention it's an iPod as well. It just looks great and performs great. (I should say this is my first smartphone but I have my gf's iPhone 3G and friend's BB to compare to.)
