Golf Tee mod - now LS is "dirtier" than RS

Did the golf tee mod this weekend, and noticed that the left side now gets "dirtier" than the right side. Thought it was humorous, because one of the reasons why I did it was to "balance" the amount of carbon buildup on the tips. It seems that the left side is less restrictive than the right side, and that's why there's more of a buildup quicker, and it seems louder on the left side. Time for the BMW PE.

Well, they're both about equal in blackness now, which I'm happy with. It's the black condensation drip marks that occur on the rolled tip end that annoys the crap out of me - that I wipe off every day, and usually now the left one more whereas it used to be the right one more. At least the PE doesn't have the rolled tips and won't be an issue if I go that route.

I actually put the stock tips back on after my PE was put in, didnt like the look and how low they hand, I prefer the rolled tip edge, but couldnt find anything I wanted ANYWHERE in 3.5" so the stock tips went back on.

Suggestion for you guys...clean the hell out of your tips, CLEAN them, steel wool on the inside (#0000 super fine), and get all the soot off them. Then take some wheel wax (I have poorboys wheel wax sealant), wax the inside of the tip, the outside, the edges and so forth. Put a couple coats on there. Then, it keeps ALOT of the carbon off there in the first place and all you have to do is take a rag to your tips every few days or so and they look brand new.

My left and right vary on build up, sometimes one is worse then other, cant figure out why, but a simple wipe to it, and its like new again.

Be proactive, not retroactive

Why not just change the tips...

Just clean them... it takes 20 seconds to run a paper towel with some windex, water, simple green, etc when you park your car. Keep a rag in your trunk.

Keep them spotless, it makes a big difference
