New E91 xDrive Fitment Question
I recently bought a 2011 E91 Sportwagon with xDrive for my wife. She hates the the RFTs.
The car has the stock 17" with 285 style rims (17x8.0) on 225-45-17. Question - since its xDrive and its higher than a rear wheel drive version, which of these tire sizes can I run without rubbing? I want the tires to be a little wider to help with curb rashes. 1) 255-40-17 2) 245-40-17 3) 235-45-17 Thanks for the help in advance! |

I'd go with 235/45/17 for a wider fitment on those wheels, maybe even 245/45/17.

235/45/17 tire would work perfectly fine. It is only about 1.5 % from the 225/45/17. Anything wider up front could possibly have rubbing issues during compression.
