UUC Short Shifter height adjustment?

Just installed my UUC short shifter but I'm not understanding how to adjust the height. I loosened the nut at the bottom of the lever but it doesn't seem to want to go down, just higher although I thought it came at it's highest setting. Do you also have to loosen the small allen screw on the side of the lever? What does this screw do? Also, even though I tightened the nut at the bottom as tight as I could get it, the shifter spins a bit when shifting - no much (maybe 1/4") and not really freely, but enough that it's annoying. Does that little screw on the side have anything to do with this? Finally, when the UUC is as low as it goes, will it be noticeably lower than stock height? Anyone got a pic at it's lowest setting so I can see how low it can go?

Don't mess with that allen screw on the side. I have mine on the lowest setting
and it seems to sit a little higher than stock. Still love it though

Thanks - not sure why I couldn't find that on their site. I'm assuming the "clockwise" in the first section is a typo - it should say "counter clockwise" like the second section, correct? And what is that little screw for on the side, anyone know? Looking a bit more closely I think it's a torx...

Yeah that shifter was strange. Its a little shorter than stock, but not much. The throw is MUCH shorter though. I did this with the CDV and it is a night and day difference.

If you try to take out that allen screw you will just remove the part that is physically attached to the DSSR. The outer part with the locking retainer (that you loosen) is too big fit over it. I tried it. It didn't work.

Honestly you could just find an aftermarket knob, one that sits lower and cut the top part of the stalk off to make it lower. It would also be non re-sellable and possibly retarded, so i don't actually recommend that.

Thanks for the insight. I actually do have a shorter shift knob on it now. It's fine the way it is but I was thinking it could be adjusted just a bit shorter. It feels fantastic, that's for sure. One thing I certainly don't want to do is make it retarded...

Some people have been having issues with adjusting the height of the UUC Evo3 so I'm posting these pictures here, hoping they'll help.

This is in 1st gear and the shifter set to the lowest height possible. I have the M-Sport shift knob.

After putting the UUC SSK in my car, I thought the shifter felt high even at the lowest setting. I replaced the stock knob with the BMW performance knob and the hieght is perfect now.

I did that too and it does help, but I was hoping I could adjust it even shorter. I haven't given up yet, but either way it works out the shifter is still a fantastic upgrade and really helps make the shifts more crisp and easier to find compared w/OEM...
