Hahha sorry for taking such a crap pic of them with the blackberry.

Honestly marc I wish I'd have bought them the day I got the car. I've had them for a while now and I still find myself saying "dayyyyyyyummmmn!" when I see them in reflections from windows or other ppls bumpers

my point was about super expensive cosmetics (oss is what, three times the cost of lux?)

I don't see myself switching in the future. I'm really happy with these

Yup that's them. I got them at some point in August I think, so they're pretty recent. Not sure if there has been any change/redesign...these are the "new" ones with the fuse and other box that stay outside of the headlight housing.

They are mad bright, must be the cam and the angle bc the inner ring looks like a full blown light!!! damn! I was contemplating getting these but then Alex at AK Motorwerk showed me the OSS in person and I almost shit myself bc they kill any and every single Angel Eye product ive seen.....I agree the price is retarded for the OSS....but honestly I see LED h-8 kits that look just as good floating around like the BMS ones for like a hundred bucks...I dont thing $229 is justifiable for these lux's. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHAT THESE COST (insert vendor name here) TO GET, IM SURE WE ARE ALL GETTING RAPED FROM EVERY VENDOR ON LED ANGEL EYE SOLUTIONS. WE SHOULD BE TIRED OF THIS BY NOW.

Lol actually there was a thread (can't seem to find it now) on those 99 dollar BMS ones that didn't seem very encouraging (to put it mildly), but I'd before buying them fo sho

These are pretty bright/awesome but you're right they're nothing like the OSS and they don't claim to be.

The camera angle and whatever was just a quick snap - didn't want to stand out in the rain too long lol. I've just really enjoyed them on these cloudy days we've been having!

Just to let you know, Marc was hand making the lux H8s..there is a LOT involved making them...229 is cheap and for the design and quality of the product you cant go wrong. But by all means if you wanna spend 600 something from OSS and be without headlights for a week or so, and be getting someone elses headlights in YOUR car, go for it. Good luck when you have an issue with your AHL or a faulty ballast or something and trying to get it covered under warranty.

Every other LED setup has been dimmer than stock and barely lit other than doing Mtech HIDs which are a pain to mount and install, plus involves cutting a hole into the top of the access cover. Lux H8s are by far one of the easiest reversible mods to do to the car.

I dont know if Marc will be making them public but he does have an option that is competitively priced with OSS and blows them out of the water...if you want to go that route.

+1 - except you forgot to mention that it's even easier if you enlist the labor of someone with small hands - I made my gf get involved lol

yeah i dropped the ass-end in first and held the front/guided it into place with some needle-nose pliers...for me, the twisting to align and seal it was the hardest part (gf outsourcing ftw!)

As Matt mentioned above - I MAKE THESE ALL BY HAND. trust me i'm not making these things to get rich off of, i'm really not making much on these at all. i dont even know how many countelss hours i have spend on these sitting in my garage hand placing each tiny LED, soldering countless wires, and assembling these.

Maybe you should go start making your own instead of knocking on other people first...

Marc everyone knows the time and effort you put into these - you certainly don't need to reply to a comment implying that you rip people off on the price.

I love my lux h8s and think they're very reasonably priced. Two hundred bucks generally isn't much to someone who owns an E9X and, especially as far as angel eye options are concerned, you definitely get what you pay for. Cheap bulbs look like shit, yours look fantastic.

I certainly hope you're making a tidy profit for all your hard work - this product is really top notch.
