How to clean your BOV
I am running a tial BOV with my stett cp and it is caked in oil and has released a good amount of vapor into the engine bay so it is pretty dirty/oily too. I would like to take it apart and clean it but am not sure how to do this or if it is even necessiary. I am also running a BSH catch can.
Help please

I don't know how to clean a tial because I don't know what type of valve it has, but I'd just run some alcohol pads over it or maybe BRIEFLY spray or soak it into some gasoline. I don't know I haven't really though it out that well but if its oily thats what I would probably do. Make sure the alcohol is nicely evaporated before putting it back into your engine bay. Any type of solvent should work well. This is a great reason for an OCC.
EDIT: Running a bsh with oil coming out like that. This is interesting. Can anyone with a different OCC say the same? Very peculiar regarding the capability of the occ. You could always get one of those filter mufflers to put on the end of your bov, dunno if they make them for tial bovs. |
