Fender rolling: what to do with the fender liner gap to stop corrosion?

I'm needing to get my rear fenders rolled but I'm concerned about the gap created between the rolled fender and the fender liner (the fender liner just kind of hangs there after fender rolling). Living in Canada, winter months mean lots of road salt and I'm worried about it building up within the inner fender and causing corrosion, since you cant get up there to clean it out without completely removing the fender lining. *Any suggestions?*

Enamel spray paint? Acts as a sealant just be careful and not make a mess.

I haven’t rolled my fenders, but judging by the rolled fenders on e9x's that ive seen, there consistently seems to be about a 1/2 inch gap between the rolled fender and the fender lining.

Hmm I would think swapping your 275/30/19 for some 255/30/19 would fix it a little bit. I know you'd be stretched but it might save your from a fender roll altogether. Or am I wrong?

Buy some truckbed coating in a spray can. People love to make a huge deal out of fender rolling but it's really nothing.

use 255's

i have 245/35 on a 10, and there's barely any stretch...

Get some under-body rubberized coating. Should work well to seal the exposed area.

ps. Be careful not to chip your paint when rolling the fenders! (heat it up)

You know that you'll lose your rust warranty on any of the affected body panels once you roll your fenders or add any undercoating or other crap.

I have 18x9.5 VMR VB3 wheels with Yokohama AD08 265x35 on E92 with M sport suspension. When I hit a bump the rear tires are rubbing. I increased camber and it didn’t help, so I will have to roll the fenders. I’m planning to use black silicon to fill the gap.
BTW: I’m using 225 tires for winter.

265/35 is tall car your vehicle. You should be running a 265/30 as the proper rub free size.

Interesting....Were you able to keep the fender liner tucked behind the fender lip when they were rolled? I’d be interested to hear how you did it.

Some interesting suggestions...If I can’t get the fender liner to stay behind the fender edge/lip when rolling them I may just have to remove the fender liner and coat the (usually covered) fender area with some rust protection and re-install the fender liner. At least this way if some salt gets up there, it should be protected.

A lot of these guys got the right answer for you.

But we've used a heat gun, and softened up the plastic and you can mold the inner liner inwards more to close the gap between the fender and liner.
