porsche driver at night
hey guys I was recently told a story about a man that drove across the desert at night at blazing speeds night after night to get to work in the morning to beat the rush of traffic on the interstate highways. Supposedly he blacked out a porsche like black rims black head lights tints the whole works...he drove with NO lights on and he was wearing night vision goggles to see the road. Night after night local police in the area (that i havent found out about) said they heard the noise of the car but could not see it! he was eventually caught when police put on night vision and saw the car... has anyone ever heard of this tale or is it just BS. I did a search on google but came up with nothing.

I have heard about these "black-out" driving stories like 20 years ago
these stories will past on to the next generation...then the next..so on & so on

How can he see the road well on a moonless night?
Night vision equipment needs a ilumminator if it's a moonless night and they can't detect really far such as a animal or object on the road until it's too late. |

LOL i heard the same story but different car/setting!
If any of you live near SF bay area...and know about Highway 280. Well...a guy owns a Ferrarri, black, blacked rims, tint, everything the guy described up there...and he had night vision driving like 160+ ... a cop with a radar gun detects his speed every night but all he sees nothing! Then eventually he gets about 6 cops and they catch him. LOL hella stupid but w/e

my friend told me a similar story about a guy in Ks that had a decked out last gen supra turbo..black on black and he'd drive 170mph+ up and down Ks highways....knew it wasn't true b/c if you've ever worn nightvision googles and drove *I have in the military* the googles completely fuck up your depth perception driving at 30mph was a pain I couldn't imagine doin 60+ with them on

It does...but we've done it driving 60-70mph in Iraq all the time. Your eyes get tired quickly and you're mentally beat after wearing them for hours on end. Bottom line....can be done.
