Help with lux 5.0

well i got my lux 5.0 for mds and i installed the right side first and DAM IT LOOKS NICE. i go to in stall the left one and its weak? so i thought i should move the right to left and left to right and the same thing idk as if the 1 lux is broking and its very dim and yellowish. here are some pics let me know what u think is the problem.

i am allso having a problem with my HID fogs. i got them from ddm tunning and i had them on my other bumper and WORK GREAT! now they some times flicker. and when i shut my car down they dont whanna shut off. i have a HID harness because when i do it the reguarl way it shuts of ASAP

no it is dim like its not powering up good. i tested them side by side.

did you flip sides? same problem on the other side?

yea but VERY DIM and yellowish while the other one is BIRGHT and WHITE.

i got them from MDS the creator of LUX. i got them yeaterday! LOL

double check connections? try the broken one on the passenger side. how old are these?

checked everything... i did that and it is still weak it has somthing to do with the unit... i have no clue how old they are.

Isn't the newest version 5.1 or even 5.2?

I got mine here, and they were a newer version than you posted. Notice the price $229 while the second link to 5.1 is less:

Not sure what the difference is, might just be what cars they work in.

The first two links show color of 6500 while the last shows 5500-6000. Is it possible they sent two different units?

5.1 is the newest i think... you also provided links to the H8's which are for E92's

i had the same issue with the right side being brighter than the left side. I had to take the left side out and saw that:

The entire LUX unit had fallen apart at the glue points
The angel eye "tubes" had retracted inwards and not getting a full light from the LUX unit

So I reglued everything back together (seems to hold together better, but who knows with the heat dispertion), gently pulled the angel eye tubes out, re-installed everything and it's definitely up to par now with the right side.

definitely check the rings and make sure they are not pushed in. i forgot to mention that. that would be an easy fix for you as well.

You probably misaligned the light tube inside the AE housing. Therefore the LEDs on that lux unit are not pointing/shining light directly into the lights tubes. Don't know if it makes sense worst case scenerio is your lux unit is defective.
