2007 BMW 328i 4-dr Sedan Tire Question
Hello all,
I recently bought a 2007 BMW 328i 4-dr Sedan with Sports and Premium package. I noticed that the front and rear tires share the same size, i.e. 255/40R17. I thought 2007 BMW 328i with sports package come in different size for front and rear. Can someone help me to understand this? I think this set of tires are OEM tires. The car has about 20K miles on it and the tires are about done. Thanks for your help. |

I have the same vehicle. It came with staggered BMW 161 rims on Bridgestone RFT tires as shown below.
The correct size for the front tires is 225/45-17. Its possible the previous owner is running aftermarket rims with a wider setup up front or just decided to go aggro fitting oversize front tires.

The stock sport wheel is 8" wide at the front, and can't fit a 255 wide tire. It has after-market wheels? Can you post a photo?
If it has the stock wheels, check both sides, perhaps they put both rears on one side, and fronts on the other. |
