Hope all is well.
We will be doing a Feb promo on our TV/Nav conversion units for the new BMW3, 5 and 6 series cars with I-Drive. The unit will $400 plus shipping. The unit has 3 video inputs 2 audio inputs, 1 audio output and I-drive controll. You will be able to select your video source via I-Drive. how different is the installation for this unit on a E92 compare to the E90?

same. for e92 it should be better. no fuss with power source since the cigarette lighter powers up when you stick teh key in ignition.

Does it come with a complete installation guide?
I mean i know there's the DIY here on the site but i would definitely like a installation manual.
And the idrive controller mod as well has not been discussed here fully...

Yes the mod comes with instruction and you can see that many forum members have installed them. The I-drive control unit lets you select video source without a remote and if you search for some of the posts by longtran you can see that the I-drive control unit is very easy to install. Longtran has a video with the i-drive controller. He explains how to switch screens with the i-drive controller.

hey i have a question... ive enver watched dvds on my navi before.. can i watch and drive? or can i only watch when parked?

With this Mod you can watch and drive or even play some ps2 and drive if you can do both

Hey Dominic, how about integration with a dvd player that has a tv tuner with an antenna that gets good reception? I'm not too interested into the DVD player but into watching/listening to the TV and including a backup camera.

dominic got a dvd player that have built in tv tuner. you just need to add antennas that sticks to your rear windshield.

It is plug and play, so it won't void your warranty as long as you use the add-a-circuit fuse tap method.
