Magnaflow exhaust review

I recently made a Magnaflow exhaust video:

It was really cheap. The muffler was $100, tips $20, piping, labor and tax $55. Total $175. A fews weeks later I had the resonator cut out. That ended up costing me $30. So all together it was $205. I'll probably get better tips later on. Any recommendations? I also have a Injen intake. The sound is great. It's not too loud and not too quiet. I cannot say for sure just how loud the muffler is by it self since I had the Injen intake before the Magnaflow muffler. I'm happy with the results so far. It has been three months since I had it put on.

Its funny you should post this seeing as how I'm getting ready to get my magnaflow muffler installed with the res delete tomorrow. Can't say I have the same muffler as you though, its an offset offset 2.25 on both ends. Picked it up from a friend at an auto parts store for $40 brand new still wrapped in the box.

I would say it added about 20% more sound. Before the res delete it had a good sound but my Injen intake was louder. Now I feel it is better. It's a fine balance from both ends.

I'm sure you will be happy with the sound. Yours might be a bit louder if you have a bigger opening. I am not happy with the tips I got. i want the single walled non rolled tips. The ones on the Ikon and BMW Perf exhausts.

Does res delete only increase the sound but no power gain?

It doesn't feel any faster then before I had it put on.

i have a 328i stock and ummm i hear a motor not any kind of exhaust, so i'd say that's a huge change, honestly i think the exhaust isnt even there.

or are you talking about the res delete stock muffler?

I can hear my exhaust a lot better from the inside but no drone. I'll take some pics underneath soon.

OP, is the magnaflow lighter than the stock exhaust? if so, by how much would you say? I am just wondering that if it doesn't provide any power gains, at least it will help with weight reduction.

I don't see any tips for the N52 and I've also pm'd Cyba before and he said he didn't sell tips for the N52.

It is lighter and half the size of the OEM muffler.

I got it brand new at Mike's Muffler in El Monte. He also installed it. FYI he doesn't have the best tips on hand so you might consider getting your own or ordering some from him.
