iphone 3gs to Droid incredible?
Okay i have At&t iphone 3gs and I'm so sick of having no reception at my work that I'm going to switch to verizon and I'm looking at getting the Droid incredible. I want to make sure I will be able to synced with my car which doesn't have idrive and was wondering if this is the model verizon users would recommend?
Thanks!

I'm also interested in a Droid phone (Palm Pre now and it's a pretty mediocre device), interested in hearing others thoughts, including on BT pairing.

I don't know if it matters to you at all or not, but...
I have an apple computer and the latest gen itouch (so im familiar with apple products). I don't have the iphone, but I do have the incredible... You might have a hard time adapting if you're coming out of the Iphone, but I wouldn't trade the Incredible and verizon service for any iphone... My brother has the Iphone as well as many of my close friends and I can't stand having to call them back every time they drop a call. They get more dropped calls in one day than Ive had the entire time Ive had Verizon... Otherwise, I heard the iphone is supposed to be coming to Verizon at the beginning of the year. Otherwise, there might be a learning curve with the new phone, but the droid incredible is really ...freaking awesome! |

I traded my 3Gs for a droid 2 and will never go back to an iphone, even if it comes to Verizon. You can customize an android phone so much more than an iphone. They really are more powerful just for that reason. Apple has more apps, but not for long.

Forgot to mention, a friend of mine is a developer in the industry (designs and makes cell phone hardware) and said to stay away from HTC because of quality issues. Take it for what it's worth, I have nothing to substantiate.

I am getting a droid incredible and i'm coming from a 3gs. Will the droid work with my 2011 328? I'm assuming yes if i have a USB cable hooking the phone up to my car. I want to be able to play music through my phone into my car.

To answer your question, No. Even if you share your usb files with the car through the center console, the car would not recognize it. I have not tried it with the droid. I would assume that it is the same since both are running the same operating system with the same file system. I have never had any problems with bluetooth to the car and having it synced up. Im guessing the newer models have a Combox and you can play bluetooth audio through the car. Maybe it may work for you if you went that route. |

I wish I could say the same. I'd like to use my Droid X to stream radio. The car recognizes the connection. When I load the web site on the phone I get a "connecting to mass storage device" message on the phone screen and the music plays out of the phone. When I select USB at the car radio all I get is my ring tone continually playing. No I drive here. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a HTC Desire HD running Froyo 2.2. I can play music on it w/ no problems (I did have to browse to the folder containing the music files the first time) and the bluetooth hands-free works just the same as my previous phone (iPhone 3GS) no problems here.

Another Droid Incredible user here. Count me with the others who are saying the Incredible is the way to go. Yes, the interface may not have Apple's polish (although many of the aftermarket launchers are really sweet), the phone is a lot more open and customizable. At the end of the day, having a better carrier and more control over my phone gives the nod to Verizon and their Android offerings. Also, one of the single biggest selling points of Android... Widgets!

I also have an Incredible, and it works well with my car. I have owned this phone for about six months and I have NEVER had a dropped call. Not once. |

If I do an iphone 4 upgrade through apple website that they offer to current subscribers with 15 month into their contract, will this trigger a new 2 year contract with at&t or are they just giving me a price break on the new hardware?
