Bridgestone RFTs are worn and I need to decide whether I should:
1) buy a set of dedicated snows w/ rims (preferred pkg from Tire Rack ($1200) w/ new RFT's in the spring (hopefully 3d gen RFT will be here by then) or 2) buy a set of the Cont DWS now ($400) and carry a Tischer donut ($300). I do a good amount of snow driving in upstate NY. If I go with he snows, any suggestions on RFT tires for spring? P.S. I really don't have a problem w/ my 2nd Gen RFTs now. |

You could also buy a jack and throw a snow tire in the trunk for a spare if you don't want to fork over the dollars for a spare. Thats what I do. That way you can get some really good (non-rft) max performance tires for the summer.
