Okay, it seems that both forums have enough members interested in another drive day. Just note that the above date is currently a SUGGESTION only, but it seems to suit most people's schedules. It is subject to change.

SUGGESTIONS FOR DRIVE ROUTE:
1. Warragamba Dam and out to The Oaks / back via Wallacia as well as the Picton loop.

2. Bells Line Road

3. Wiseman's Ferry

4. Wollombi Road

When this is decided, the final route will be sent via PRIVATE MESSAGE to those who are put down as attending.

PRE-DRIVE RENDEZVOUS POINT:
Will be sent via PRIVATE MESSAGE closer to the date

ESTIMATED START/FINISH TIME:
Will be sent via PRIVATE MESSAGE closer to the date

THINGS TO BRING
1. Your 3er
2. Your friendly attitude
3. Money for lunch and maybe some light beer
4. A camera
5. A FULL tank of petrol - most of the roads we'll be driving will be completely deserted. You do not want to be stranded in between service stations.
6. A CB radio or UHF walkie talkie - very useful for staying in contact with all drivers on the day.

DSC AND/OR DTC MUST BE ON AT ALL TIMES - while I trust that most of you have exceptional driving ability, the drive is neither a race or on a racetrack. The public roads we are driving on have surface qualities that can change without warning. DTC mode (a light press of the DTC button) gives adequate slippage for spirited driving. Otherwise, leave all the nannies on.

Turning it off not only puts yourself at risk when the road surface becomes unpredictable, but also everyone else who is there on the day. Please be considerate.

Judging by past experience with 1addicts meets, it will most likely comprise most of the day. We usually like to have lunch at some location midway through the route.

Of course, you are welcome to show up after lunch at anytime.

If the poll in the other thread was anything to go buy, then maybe 15 people? some will drop out but then throw a handful of 1ers into the mix.

Not sure what absolute crew is!

I think there would be a few people who might like this, but the plan for the 28th is a long haul drive. Come on, come for a little bit! No need to stay the whole day, just come and go when you want.

A pre-meet the weekend before perhaps?

Not to be a badge snob, but I too would much rather the cars all bear the blue and white propeller rather than rolling with the 'rollas and falcodores.

If someone wants to organise a meet at SOP I'm totally up for that. Either on the same day (afternoon/evening) or another time.

I'm thinking of this more as a chance to meet the poeple on the forum and do a bit of a drive, rather than committing myself to a full day's driving. I was wondering if we could consider an alternative where we meet up, then drive for about 1.5 hours, have lunch and maybe consider going home on the freeway (the easy way).

For sure. It won't be non stop all day kind of stuff. Please feel free to leave whenever, it isn't like a major commitment or anything. Don't be discouraged by the amount of driving people are suggesting - come to meet some people, have a chat, lunch, photos etc...
