Going in for service wednesday...

I have a LONG list of issues to be fixed...
-I've had 4 half-engine lights this year. They already did the software update and sensor fix. I HOPE to get a new HPFP wednesday.
-My key FOB battery is dead= No comfort access ability
-My steering wheel is peeling
-My door is peeling a little near the window buttons
-pass side seat-belt is malfunctioning
-wastegate rattle

After all this is fixed I plan on trying to sell the car ASAP. I am going in for knee surgery and won't be able to drive with the clutch for a month or so. I just hope the dealer fixes everything under warranty and this issue of half-engine lights stops once and for all!

I'll post here any new dealer info I get on the hpfp recall although when I called my service manager said they aren't ready for that YET.

Why not just change the fob battery yourself?

Simple CR2032 battery.

I guess it's easy enough, but while it's in service they may as well do it under warranty
I haven't even driven the car since oct 17th so it's no big deal right now

I'm interested to see what they say on the door peeling.

My car has a small amount of the soft finish peeling off the plastic that surrounds the window switches. I was in for service a few weeks ago and was advised they consider that normal wear and tear and wouldn't cover it.

I think that's bullshit since my car has barely 18K miles and is always garaged or under cover. I requested a call from BMWNA to complain to them in person. I don't think they will do anything but I'm going to make sure they know how I feel about it.

I'm interested to see what they say about the steering wheel peeling, mine is too, although i never thought to try and get it fixed under warranty. ITs a very very tiny spot that is peeling.

I'll let you guys know when i find out. The car is at the dealer now and I don't expect to get it until tomorrow at the earliest. I'm pretty sure the steering wheel will be covered since it's a known problem. My dad just got an '08 x3 and his wheel is peeling also. I've seen numerous posts here about it also and most get covered.
They are also now replacing my plugs(i'm at 34,000k) and my air filter, along with another free oil service(just had one 3,100 miles ago!
I just really hope they fix the rattle sound...it's sounds like crap!

yeah I know... but while it's there...
I really didn't even bother to look at what type of battery it had inside.
But fvck it...I've been in and out of the dealer 8 times this year...the least they can do is change a battery for me
