AR Downpipe and Burger Fix - Now 2C77 Code

I just installed my downpipe similar to the AR one and the Burger O2 Fix at 7pm setting ... and I am throwing the 2C77 code every 25miles or so after I reset the ECU ...

Does anyone know what this code is ...? Have I broke my rear O2 sensor ...?

The car seems like it is running ok ... will it effect my performance other than the stupid check engine light ...?

Please help ...

Thanks

It won't affect performance at all. How was the install?

it's an SES light, correct. Read the BMS dp fix v3 documentation in regards to properly dialing it in. You will have to drive with the cowl off for a bit as sometimes it takes some trial and error to dial it in properly.

Well I am using Downpipes similar to AR's ones ... the fitment was a couple mms off and we had to get it to work ... took the techs 6 hrs .... First time the DP was angled incorrectly and broke the clamp off ... now its on fine with no leaks but I am pulling this code.

Car runs fine but I want to get rid of the code now ...

Don't the oxygen sensors effect the fuel mixture of the car - eg rich and lean ??? Hence performance?

I have dialled the Burger fix in right now ... and no longer throw a strong signal code ... or atleast not the 2C32 code I think it is .... now its a 2C77 ????

It comes every 25kms though ...

Code 2c77 is a no activity reading on bank 1 sensor 2. I had that code and replaced my rear O2 sensor only to have the code stay. I removed the DP fix and wired it into the factory harness and it went away. Is your DP fix wired into a JB3?

Am I reading this correctly, you called out AR downpipes and your second comment says replica downpipes? I suggest you change the title of the thread and remove any reference to AR.

Not calling out AR ... but the DPs are really similar to their ones. Just wanted to give everyone some clue to what I am using ... sorry for any misunderstanding.

Edited ...

Hi mate,

The fix is wired directly into the stock harness? Do you think there is a loose connection or incorrect wiring?

Thanks for the info.

Anyone else?

It seems like when people get this code, myself included, it is because of wiring. First check the wiring on the O2 sensor itself. If that's correct I would remove the DP fix and reinstall it.

That fixed the problem for me.

Be sure you are disconnecting the battery before the install/uninstall of the Fix.

No, just keep the key fob away from the car for ~20 minutes

Thanks for the input everyone ... I talked to Terry at Burger Tuning today thru email and he said the same thing ... I looked at the install again today and it looks good ... however did not check the OEM connecting in the plug ... might be them. I will have my mechanic look at it next week ...

Until then will the car perform up to par? Any performance losses with the engine code?

Thanks again

Here is a pic of the install:

Think it is installed wrong ...

It is the adjustable one ... the car is running fine other than the code. But I really need some help to get this right. Any help would be great.

Ok so I undid all of the tape to see how the mechanic installed the fix ... and the dumbass tried to put two female connectors together with one of the Yellow wires which is not even suppose to be connected ... I redid the visible wires and reset the codes ... now wait to rack some miles on the reset ECU ...

So this code is a incorrect wiring code ... 2C77 code.

I am hoping he hooked up the OEM plug wires correctly since I did not check those.
