335 sedan stock exhaust too quiet

ok guys,

my new 2011 335 sedan stock exhaust sucks compared to my previous 07 335 coupe stock exhaust. How do I make this thing louder without changing the exhaust? I heard there is a way to fix this problem. Let me know

I just pulled the plug and my exhaust not is perfect for me. this plug is located in the drivers side tail light access panel. You'll know you've found it by the rubber vacuum hose coming from the underside. Just unplug it. Has anyone heard of any issues doing it this way? I know it stores a code that doesn't pop any warning lights but my car lived in the repair shop for weeks and nobody ever said anything.

You plug up the little tube that leads to your drivers side exhaust pipe. It makes the car louder.

Another option (at the other end of the spectrum) is the Eisenmann Race Exhaust

golf tee only works on e92s because they dont have a resonator. take out your resonator and do the golf tee.

I think the 2011 is pretty loud stock, well mine is a coupe.. I don't know if that differs from the sedan in any way in sound.

You can unplug the vacuum line and cap it on e90 as well...

lol what i meant is, its a minimum sound gain compared to an e92.

There was a thread on here a few weeks back where the two exhausts were compared if youre wondering.

If you want a loud un-refined sound, take off your mufflers.

A huge subwoofer and amp will do the trick. Just crank it and you won't be able to tell that you engine is too quiet.

i have an e90 with golf tee mod and it got louder but the main diff is that the coupe has an x-pipe which i think makes it a bit louder than the sedan.

Go to an exhaust shop and have them cut out your resonator and replace it with an x pipe.
That is the only difference between the e90 and e92 exhaust. (resonator vs. x pipe)
In my opinion, getting catless downpipes gives you the best sounding exhaust bc it is loud on startup, relatively quiet while cruising, but when on WOT the car SCREAMS (not that loud but it is definitely angry sounding and will turn some heads)
