Painting Interior Trim..

i was thinking of painting my interior trim glossy black or maybe a glossy grey.. anyway i was wondering if anybody has experience with this and if its a good idea or not, not sure if it will chip off...

thoughts...???

it is not a great idea, i have heard of it looking okay in the beginning and then just taking a dive after a little bit...imo your best bet is to wrap in a vinyl/fabric type of material, last a lot longer and would look a lot better!

i am 100% sure MAC can PAINT your trim... i assume aluminum is the easiest to paint over though... talk to them...

cheapest way is to wrap, and i think alex@helix does some wrapping

i am pretty sure that MAC has painted trim matte ill see if i can find it

anyone ever think of anodizing their aluminum trim? could make it a blood red to match coral interior, or perhaps a dark charcoal to match black and add a touch of contrast

edit: i would attempt this, as there are many places in brooklyn that do this, but my alu trim is already dented and nicked all over from the seatbelt

We've painted lots of trim, wrap looks terrible.
I have a car here right now with wrap if you care to see it.

can you PM me price to get trim painted (its already removed from the car so no labor on that part) just sand and paint or whatever it is u guys do... either matte black or matte silver - thanks in advance!

yes sir!! also need my wheels refinished but that will be more details to come once they are off the car!

I really thought matte black trim would look good, until I saw the pics....obv clean work, but the matte black looks like cheap plastic trim....look horrible.
