Hi,

Mine is not a 325 but for reference I insured my E90 320d with BMW Insurance (Allianz) this year. I swapped from Suncorp - the BMW quote was very competitive at the time. PM me if you need an idea of premium or any other info.

Cheers..

AAMI here, my premium is dirt cheap, just hope I don't have to make a claim. Mine is $1000pa with windshield cover and $300 excess (I think). Rating 1

If you won't be doing too many kms Payasyou drive is good, saved me 50% over AAMI who I was with earlier. Stayed clear of Allianz since they were ridiculously expensive

I was two years with BMW (Allianz). I paid $1700 the first year, was a bit annoyed at paying $1850 the next but when the premium jumped to $2600 this year (agreed value $58K) I looked further afield.

AAMI were the cheapest ($1600 ish depending on options) but I rang my favoured panel shop and was advised not to use them as they do not offer choice of repairer. Finally settled on GIO - $1780 with hire car, windscreen and $62K agree value. Subsequently got $58 back for having CTP with them also.

If you read the fine print, the BMW policy is certainly the best - specifying genuine parts even when the car is older and giving you cover for service loan cars - but not worth the extra. Further they were hopeless to deal with over the 'phone when it came to looking at adjusting the quote and policy options.

Oh, I'm 48, full NCB, clean record. Such is the price of living in inner Sydney.

I previously insured my Golf R32 and when it was time for a repair/claim they didn't allow me to choose my own repairer...

Too many variables to compare because insurrance quotes are based on age, NCB rating, where / if the vehical is located, state, etc, etc. I'm with Suncorp as they satisfy my requirments. I found AAMI was cheaper however there was one or two things that I didn't like on their policy. Stay clear from Allianz if you intend to make any modification to you car as they are too conservative.

I've been with NRMA Insurance for ~20 years and have all other insurance with them (home building & contents, Club Care in lieu of Road Service, and will go back to them for CTP), so get multi-policy discount, years of insurance discount and 65% NCB.

$770 for $86K agreed value w/ $600 excess in Sydney metro area.

I'm insured with BMW (aka Allianz) for $1,700 with agreed value of $80k. I like the cover BMW provide with guaranteed geniune parts, choice of repairer, hire car coverage etc. I was surprised how much it was initially, although it seems the 335 costs quite a bit more than other 3 series?

FYI went up $100 this year from the $1,600 I paid last year. having said that it's far less than the $2,400 NRMA quoted me when I bought it. I had my E46 insured with them and had been pretty happy, but the new quote was too high.

I am with NRMA.

2009 - 2010: Agreed Value = $111,500 , Hire Car = $63.52, Max No Claim Discount, PREMIUM = $2281.07

2010 - 2011: Agreed Value = $104,650 , Hire Car = $63.52, Windscreen = $63.52, Max No Claim Discount, PREMIUM = $2537.58

Was thinking about changing this year, but heard of tough claims processes with other companies. Choice of repairer is crucial to me.

I have had no issues with NRMA (knock on wood) with any car I have owned.

That is awesome price. Im paying ~$1300 for BMW (alliance) insurance. When i pick-up my car, cheapest I can find was close to $1600 so I was quite suprise that BMW insurance was cheapest at $1300 which has also the best cover. I had some problem getting quote at the time when new coz most insurance company doesn't know car existed coz new model. $500 excess and market value, replacement if rid off in first 2 year.

I had a strange situation with Allianz, and many other insurer's. For some reason, in my particular suburb, no one would insure my car for a reasonable price, except BMW Insurance, which as you said, it underwritten by Allianz.

I wont say where I live in Adeliade but my 335i would be one of the cheaper cars in my surrounding area. There are however a lot of tourists etc so maybe that increases the risk. BMW insurance was just under $1,300 pa for my car.

the dealer tried to convince us to insure both of our cars with BMW Insurance, it worked out about a few hundreds more than Allianz which in my opinion run by the same mob.

was with Shannon with my previous E36, but it was heavily modified..worth considering it also.

whew, everyone has great rates here..think I need to call up and shop around again...AAMI who I was with was 2500 and BMW Allianz had quoted like 4000+ then when the car was new so AAMI was a good buy, all this for a 320i, agree that didn't have much of an insurance history in Australia back then. The payasyoudrive insurance am with now is about 1200.
