They look the same as 2011 tail lights because they are OEM 2011 tail lights....You need a harness to install them and recoding.

The LCI Taillights that we carry ARE OEM actually. So yes, to answer your question, they look exactly like OEM

Coding is necessary to have the taillights not flicker, or cause any errors which can be done at a local BMW shop that has an Autologic. PM me for more details.

If I purchase that extra module EAS offers will they still flicker. Don't wanna go to BMW. And we'll this cause warranty issues since weren't purchased from BMW.

No need to go to BMW directly as the poster above me just mentioned. You can take it to a BMW shop that has an autologic, or you can purchase the module as suggested.

There are no warranty issues with this part since it's an OEM BMW Part itself. In fact, even if you didn't purchase the taillights through us, if there is any problem with them, for example if one cracks, and it's a warranty replaceable item, you can get it replaced directly through the dealership!

I'll send you a PM real quick for more info.

I didn't know the dealer would replace aftermarket OEM parts during the warranty period, good to know.

It's an OEM BMW part, so I don't foresee any issues with warranty replacement. Even if the dealership does give you an issue, we can always certainly help too. But, like I said, it is a BMW part and it carries it's own warranty.

Where do I purchase the harness? Is it OEM?
If so what is the cost for both the light and harness?

I always figured the dealer would just replace it with a stock taillight (07-10), since that's the one that came with the car and thats whats in their system. This is interesting and I hope this is true if I ever run into any problems.

Yup, that's what I always assumed but I guess if you have a good enough relationship with the dealer they might be able to replace it. The only issue I can see for the dealer is trying to replace a 2011 part on say a 2010 or 2009 car but I guess it might be a non issue when it comes to replacing OEM during the warranty period.

FYI: I have LCI tails from EAS and I'm very happy with them. EAS provided great service and I was able to get full coding done locally with help from Tom @ EAS. I have no errors and no flickering. It's well worth the money because it gives the rear a nice refresh.

What's the average price to have this coded? I've seen a lot of different prices.

Sent you a PM on what we normally charge so you have a good baseline.

If anybody else needs a quote for LCI taillight coding, feel free to PM me.
