pre 06/07 crank stabilisation "Kurbelwellenstabilisierung" how to?????

Reading on the net that after 06/07 BMW applied a modification to the N54 crank to allow over 360HP
Without this modification the crank is not strong enough to go over 360HP

For all members like me that have a pre 06/07 N54 and want to go over 360HP it is possible to ask BMW to apply this modification as a retrofit it is called crank stabilisation, in german: "Kurbelwellenstabilisierung"

I don't have any technical detail, nor how to ask this to BMW.

Can someone provide extra info? Is this needed? How to do it etc...????

it seems that the 06/2007 have it already

I am figuring out to understand what it is exactly, bearings, crank, rods?

On realoem no part changed # around 05-07/2007 so it is still mysterious

The infos that you need a "Kurbelwellenstabilisierung" with the pre 06/07 N54 are due to infos of DS-Motorsport. As far as I know they are the only one of the known european tuners who say there is a need for a crank stabilisation with the N54 pushing more than 360hp. I don't know where are their infos from and if they are right. Maybe its just to "excuse" their overpriced products...

But I think this stabilisation is done by BMW and not DS-motorsport...

I have heard in the past that something was modified in the crank, but I don' know what.

Really a mysterious to elucidate
