Pass emissions with catless DP's
I was wondering if it was possible to pass emissions legitimately with catless DP/s.
What if you had the DP's and then made a custom exhaust like this: DP's >> Midsection >> Muffler >> High flow cats >> Tips Then you could have electronic cutouts before the cats as well. Or before the muffler Thoughts? :flamesuit

As long as you have a DP fix installed, you should be fine. They check your emissions via the OBDII port, and sometimes a visual inspection to ensure your cats are still there. However, I doubt the tech would take the time to remove your under panels to check the cats.
Also, your idea for exhaust wouldn't really work. The cats have to be positioned close enough to the manifold so that they are hot enough to ignite the leftover gasses. It'd also be a surefire way to get the tech doing your inspection to notice your aftermarket cats.

There are secondary cats in there anyway so even if they did a visual inspection they would still see them under there. With a DP fix you should have no problems.

This depends on the state, not sure about FL, but here in CO, all cars go on the rollers and they check the actual tailpipe emmissions while also checking for "check engine" lights.

Apparently so, this is a picture of their inspection.

Question regarding procede and inspection via OBDII. Basically, leaving O2 monitor to 100 and canclear on will result in an incomplete test cycle and fail inspection. However, if one were to leave O2 modifier to 50 or dialed in to avoid SES lights, thus completing test cycles, will that pass inspection?

I don't think any annual inspection requires tailpipe emission with cold start tests. It would require a cold start test to fail with catless DPs (CE NOT illuminated) to my knowledge.

The puzzling thing is, I still have the BMS v3 DP fix attached to the stock harness which is connected to the procede on my 135i 6MT. O2 is in a constant ready status and would pass emissions as-is. No SES light, no misfires, no nothing. This car has old 31.2 software or something, could be why. I'm going to install the procede / dp fix the way I have it in the 135i. If I start misfiring or throw some curious codes, then it will be process of elimination.
