Alekshop: East Coast NYC BMW Coding Event
Guys,
I am getting a lot of e-mails every day from people asking me to come to the East Cost ( NY ) to code their cars. With that being said, we decided to organize a Coding Event in NYC: Here are some more details: When: December 15th Where: 516 W 29th Street New York, NY 10001 What Time: 9am-4:30pm What can be coded: Due to a time constraint we can only offer the following options: - Enable remote folding mirrors and windows/sunroof opening/closing - Disable hardtop opening/closing speed limit - Enable One-touch sunroof venting - Enable TV/DVD-in-motion (only for the CIC) - Enable Euro front blinkers - Enable M3 digital speedometer in the instrument cluster (for non-M cars) - Enable remote trunk opening/closing (X5/X6 only) - Disable iDrive warning - Disable door gong - Disable a bulb check error (LED bulbs, HIDs, etc.) How to sign up: Please send us e-mail ( info@alekshop.com ) and let us know what you are looking to get done and we will get back to you with more information. How much: The price will be determined based on the options you are looking to get. Here are some pictures and video clips so you can see what it looks like: Euro Blinker Link to Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/Alekshop Feel free to contact me if you have any questions Aleks. |

Being that AK Motorwerks is running an extremely cheap group buy for all of the coded features EXCEPT defeating in-motion DVD playback, I hope the pricing isn't completely out of the ballpark. I am all for paying extra to enable in-motion DVD playback, but not if it's hundreds more.

Enabling dvd-in-motion doesn't require any additional modules.
Feel free to send me e-mail or just give me a call 925.609.4559 if you have any questions. I will be there tomorrow from 9am. See you guys there ! |

FYI, had coding done at AKM but just a heads up.....disarming door gong could disable airbags. Been doing research to see if this was true after I got my coding and read about this....Nobody could answer this, not even my BMW engineer friend of 15+ years. So as a shop, I would not disable the gong (AKM will not do it anymore) you could be liable in an accident maybe. Just a heads up.
I put my gong back on just to make sure. |

Would have loved to had gotten the remote trunk closing coding done on the X5...
Should have done this on a weekend, and not the middle of the week. Some of us have jobs during the week that we cannot get away from... As the job is what is paying for the mods to begin with.

The OP, Aleks shop.. complete astronomical, outrageous pricing. I got mine done from Matt@Cambertoe, about 6 codings, for lets just say, much less than half of just OP's first module coding price of $175

IIRC, Alekshop's pricing is $250 for 4 codings. Nothing offered is worth that kind of money especially with no easy way of getting recoding if the DME ever gets reprogrammed by the dealer. With Matt@Cambertoe, I can drive there in 15 minutes
