:: ECS Tuning :: N54 Quick Spool Crank Pulley - Black / Silver ~ Unlock Hidden HP!

The ECS Quick Spool Pulley releases hidden horsepower from your N54 engine by reducing the rotational mass caused by the stock heavy crank pulley.

Less rotational mass equals less engine drag causing the engine to have a quicker throttle response creating boost faster throughout the RPM range.

The stock pulley weighs in at a scale tipping 8.65 lbs. compared to the ECS Quick Spool Pulley at just 0.50 lbs.! That's a 94% reduction in weight.

Throughout the testing phase, the ECS Quick Spool Pulley gained an average of 6hp and 5ft/lbs at the wheels. (see dyno chart)

Each ECS Quick Spool Pulley is made from high quality 6061 aircraft grade aluminum and has a hard anodized coating available in black or silver.

Yeah are there any issues running this, like charging or weaker hvac?

Same for auto/stick and uses the original belt?

I had charging issues one my cars a while back that had underdrive pulleys, but that car had a huge stereo system also, 335 is stock stereo.

Just want to make sure there are no issues ...else I don't see no reason not to have this!

thanks

The pulley is the same diameter as the OEM pulley, its just 94% lighter..

A good comparison might be... "say you have 17" stock wheels and you swap them over to light weight 17" wheels are you going to go slower?"

Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any other questions, and I'll do whatever I can to help!

Cheers,
Joe

Joe,

Doesn't the stock pulley have a harmonic damper? Do you guys retain this somehow?

I've always been told to not swap out a crank pulley for a lightweight one that has no dampening.

Thanks, pulley looks quality!

I know there is an M54 motor, just curious if you had one for the N54 motor in the BMW performance intake that's advertised on your website.

So do you think its worth the money? I heard that pulleys don't really do anything for our car.
